Publikacja prof. Chomczyńskiego w Qualitative Sociology

Roger Guy (State University of New York at Oswego) and Piotr Chomczynski (University of Lodz) have published a new article entitled 'Urban Marginality, Neighbourhood Dynamics, and the Illicit Drug Trade in Mexico City' in the journal Qualitative Sociology.

The paper is the result of Prof Chomczynski's research in Mexico since 2015. The thesis of the paper is that drug trafficking is a kind of adaptive strategy and a response undertaken by marginalised local communities in the face of the activities of sinister criminal organisations in the region. The results of the study indicate that illegal activities initiated by drug dealers are part of the local population's survival strategy when confronted with organised crime.
