Amount of the tuition fee, currency and account number varies depending on the student`s citzenship.

I. Tuition fee payments - 1st year - admitted in 2023/2024

Tuition fee: 2100 EUR per year.

Students might pay the fee in two installments (30.09 and 28.02)

In the academic year 2023/2024
1 Foreigners - citizens of the Ukraine - undertaking studies at the University of Łódź on a fee-paying basis in the academic year 2023/2024, pay the fees referred to in the Decree of the Rector of the University of Łódź, reduced by 40% until the end of the study period provided for in the curriculum of the studies or post-graduate studies. After the end of that period, foreigners referred to above who continue their education at the University of Łódź are required to pay the full tuition fees.

2 Foreigners who have completed a nine-month preparatory course, taking up education at the University of Lodz on the terms of payment for full-time studies in Polish, pay fees reduced by 40% until the end of the study period provided for in the program of the undertaken form of education.

3 Foreigners with proven Polish origin who take up studies at the University of Lodz on the terms of payment for full-time studies in Polish, pay fees reduced by 40% until the end of the period provided for in the program of the undertaken form of education.

In the academic year 2021/2022
Citizens of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and the Republic of Uzbekistan, enrolled in the University of Lodz on a paid basis in the 2021/2022 academic year , pay fees reduced by 50% (1250 EUR) until the end of the study period provided for in the program of undertaken studies. After this period, foreigners who continue their education at the University of Lodz are required to pay the full amount of the related fees.

Polish students and students studying on Polish citizens terms pay their tuition fee to the individual account number generated in USOS.

Tuition fee (I, II and III year of studies 2021/2022): 2500 PLN per year.

Amount can be paid:

- in whole year payment with 5% discount (till 15.10) - 2375 PLN
- for each semester separately with 2.5% discount (till 15.10 and 25.02) - 1218,75 PLN
- in 7 installments (shown below):

V   300 PLN till 15.03

In case of conditional entry to the next semester or in case of repeating a semester or a year, a student is obliged to make a payment of 600 PLN for each retaken subject.

The payments for conditional credits should be made:

-          before 15^th of December in winter semester

-          before 15^th of May in summer semester

The payments for repeating a semester should be made:

-          before 15^th of October for winter semester

-          before 25^th of Febrary for summer semester

The payments should be made do an individual student account given in USOSweb.

II. Payments - 2nd year, 3rd year - admitted in 2021/2022 and earlier

In case of conditional entry to the next semester or in case of repeating a semester or a year, a student is obliged to make a payment of 500 PLN for each retaken subject.

The payments for conditional credits should be made:

-          before 15^th of December in winter semester

-          before 15^th of May in summer semester

The payments for repeating a semester should be made:

-          before 15^th of October for winter semester

-          before 25^th of Febrary for summer semester

The payments should be made do an individual student account given in USOSweb.

A student who, as a result of circumstances arising after the conclusion of the contract with the University of Lodz
- is in a difficult financial situation or
- for other special reasons, it is not able to pay the full amount of tuition fees or
- achieved outstanding results (grades) in your studies
may apply to the Dean for a fee reduction.

This reduction is not available to students of the first semester  (§ 6, item 2 of the Decree of the Rector of the University of Lodz No. 19 of 26.10.2020).

In the case of relief forachieve outstanding results (grades) in your studies, the reduction depends directly on the weighted average of the grades obtained in the semester preceding the semester when the student applies for such a reduction (the weighted average calculation is regulated in §39, item 5 of the Rules of Study). 

The amounts of reductions in academic year 2023/2024 are set as follows:
- for a grade average between 4.50 and 4.70, a 20% discount is granted,
- for a grade average over 4.71 to 4.85, a 50% discount is granted,
- for a grade average over 4.86 to 5.00, a 90% discount is granted.

In the event of a relief due to difficult financial situation or other special reasons that do not allow the full payment of the tuition fees, the application should be accompanied by documents confirming the students financial situation and an additional statement of the student. Undocumented applications are not considered.

The application should be submitted to the Deans office by October 10 - for the winter semester - or February 20 - for the summer semester.

Diploma fees:

A - annual studies started in 2018/2019 and earlier:
A graduate of studies started in the 2018/2019 academic year and earlier, pays the fee for the issuance of the diploma of completion of studies and the BA/MA diploma (2x diploma in Polish and 2x supplement in Polish, 1x diploma in one of languages: English / French / Spanish / German / Russian and 1x supplement in English): PLN 60.00.

BA/MA diploma in Polish copy – 90 PLN

B - annual studies started in 2019/2020:

A graduate of studies started in the 2019/2020 academic year does not pay the fee for issuing a graduation diploma along with a diploma supplement.

Pursuant to Rectors Ordinance No. 188 of 4/08/2021 (as amended on 23/09/2021) on the principles of issuing a diploma of completion of studies, a diploma supplement, copies of diplomas, certificates of completion of postgraduate studies and other documents from the course of education at the University of Lodz, there are postage charges for shipments.

The amount of fees results from the rates specified in the contract signed between the University of Lodz and the current postal operator - currently Poczta Polska.
